Natural light, maximum sightlines and hand-crafted detailing all contribute to the architects’ design scope for this project set in the heart of Dallas’ Highland Park neighborhood, steeped in Spanish Colonial architecture – particularly for the 2 major rooms with Crittall’s metal door product in both the family room / loggia and the great room gallery.
Crittall arched metal doors units, with dependable operation and lifelong minimal maintenance, allow direct, well used access from these spaces to the pool garden and terraces just outside their confines. The arched top doors’ detailing fit comfortably with the Spanish colonial architecture of the house, tucked within the stucco and stone exterior finishes and the smooth, plaster interior finishes.
The 3 great room gallery arched pairs of doors, and the 3 sets of doors at the family room and outdoor loggia area allow for wonderful, warm sunlight and unfettered views to the pool garden and terraces beyond. These metal door products that fit timelessly within this Highland Park Spanish colonial home, no doubt were the perfect selection for this project.
