Crittall light filled solutions

As it continues to revolutionise the manufacture of steel windows and doors, market leader Crittall is also in pole position to respond to the changes in the way we work caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

A growing trend in home working has led to a boom in creating home office space throughout the country. This has increased the demand for natural, light-filled design solutions that have a positive impact on wellbeing during lockdowns and other restrictions.

A plentiful supply of natural daylight, good insulation but with adequate ventilation and acoustic control, all form part of this elaborate jigsaw.

In addition to its exterior steel windows and doors with their slender profiles that allow more natural light into the building Crittall’s Innervision glazed interior partitioning screens ensure a seamless transfer of that increased level of natural daylight throughout the building reaching even the most remote working areas.

The performance of glazed interior screens can be further tailored to fine-tune levels

of acoustic insulation, light transmission, thermal insulation and natural ventilation control to suit individual clients and applications.

During the past 18 months Crittall has been transforming the company’s operation with a strategic investment programme that is streamlining every aspect of product ordering, manufacture and supply while retaining and enhancing the hand-built craftsmanship and bespoke nature that are hallmarks of its range of windows, doors and screens.

New Enterprise Resource Software provides end-to-end integration of all the company’s business functions including  finance and accounting, customer relationship management, production, supply chain and contract management and provides real time information on all aspects of the production process. State of the art CNC machinery has also been installed in the company’s Essex manufacturing plant in the UK.

Crittall CEO Russell Ager said: ‘The new systems allow us to evolve and adapt products to meet customer needs. Overall, we will become more agile and our customers will benefit from all-round improved service including shorter lead times and enhanced order tracking’.
