Part of the blast resistant BlastLine range, SlamShut is a large outward ‘opening’ window which has been blast tested in the open position. The window ‘slams shut’ on impact of the blast pressure, acting as a blast damper.
This window uniquely allows natural ventilation in buildings at risk from potential blast events, saving on expensive air conditioning. Developed by the Crittall Fendor Blast and Ballistic Division and tested by BakerRisk, Texas, the SlamShut blast resistant window offers staff the opportunity to work in improved conditions without reducing their protection from blast events.
